Ecoquest Application

Ecoquest invites grade 7 Saskatoon Public School students who are interested in exploring the natural world, learning through social justice, and developing as leaders. We use the community as our classroom and study the curriculum through place and project-based learning and group assignments. Outdoor experience is not required but rather a commitment and openness to new and varied learning experiences.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The application process is meant to challenge you to reflect on what draws you to the program. Please allow yourself time to thoughtfully and thoroughly complete your application. Only complete applications, with all required parts, are considered eligible. Eligible applications will be evaluated based on the School Referral Form and Student Letter of Interest. Do not make any additional add-ons to the application: newspaper articles, pictures, etc.

Time Commitment:

Ecoquest students will participate in approximately 6 camps involving overnights (ranging from 2-5 days). Consider whether you will be able to take on this commitment with your current extra-curricular schedule.

What level of swimming have you achieved?
*For safety and liability reasons there will be a swim test to ensure all students can swim 100m with and without a life jacket and can tread water for five minutes without a life jacket; all requirements will need to be performed consecutively. *This question is required.
