Seniors' Transportation Survey

Welcome to the Seniors' Transportation Survey

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey about the role of transportation in the lives of older British Columbians.

The Seniors’ Transportation Survey is a joint effort of United Way British Columbia and Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST). Its purpose is to collect information and opinions on how well the existing transportation system is working for those 55 years of age and better. Survey results will be used to identify the need for new and improved transportation services throughout the province, and to help move forward the conversation for improvements with municipal, regional, and provincial governments as well as transportation service providers.

Please either: complete the survey online OR complete the paper survey (but not both).

This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. The questions are intended to elicit your thoughts and experiences, as an older adult, about topics like driving cessation, the kinds of transportation you use, and the services available where you live.

The information you provide will be kept confidential. Your name will not be used in reports or in any other way.

Please note that the survey responses should be those of an older adult, defined as 55 years or older, and not a family member, friend, or caregiver. We will collect their perspectives using other methods.

The deadline for this survey is January 21, 2022, at 4:00 pm.

If you have questions about this survey or would like to provide more information, please contact Deirdre Goudriaan at Thank you in advance for completing the survey.
