Hand-Me-Down Project: Call for Seniors!

MPL is embarking on an exciting new initiative called the Hand-Me-Down Project, aimed at cataloguing and disseminating the knowledge of seniors in our community, with a focus on intergenerational relationships between seniors and youth.

Our goal is to share generational knowledge with the next generation, focusing on areas including tradeskills, crafting and culinary expertise, while supporting skills-building as well as intergenerational dialogue and cultural exchange.

We are looking for Seniors in Milton (anyone aged 55+) to share their skills with local teens in the Winter 2022 into the Spring 2023!

Participating seniors will work together with the MPL staff to develop programs, lesson plans, identify materials, resources, and lead Hand-Me-Down project sessions with youth.

Participants will receive an honorarium for their participation.

Paper copies of this forms can be found at all MPL branches.
