Acadience Reading K-6 Regional Meeting

The First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association are pleased to announce an exciting professional development opportunity for educators and Education Assistants in First Nations schools. These sessions will be offered in-person by region with one virtual training session for those who cannot attend an in-person meeting.

These full day, engaging and hands-on regional training sessions will be an opportunity to delve into Acadience Reading for K-6 which is an assessment tool that helps teachers identify children at risk for reading difficulties and determine the skills to target for instructional support. Interested participants can register for one or both days, depending on the training required.

Please note that participants will be responsible for paying their own travel and accommodation expenses, as well as all food and incidentals related to travel to and from the event. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at 8:00am and 12:00pm respectively during the event.
