Become a DSI Member!

Basic Information

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Data Sciences Institute (DSI).

Purpose: DSI members are faculty, librarians, trainees, or students at the University of Toronto or our external funding partners. Completing this registration will provide access to numerous DSI benefits, including funding, networking, and training and research supports. Members can also added to our DSI research network. Having an active membership list enables us to connect and build a network of data science researchers and other professionals working within the data science community.

We also welcome memberships from researchers, staff, and affiliates who want to be included on our mailing list and participate in DSI events.

Use: The Data Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto respects your privacy. The information collected by this Membership Form will only be used internally by DSI staff. Your data will be stored securely, and only used to inform internal strategies, confirm that applicants to DSI initiatives are DSI members, and to support visualizations of the data sciences research ecosystem supported by the DSI.

If you are already a member, we can provide you with a link if you need to update your information. Please direct any requests or other concerns to awards.dsi@utoronto.ca.

4. Please indicate the type of membership. *This question is required."Researcher" includes faculty, librarians, postdoctoral fellows, and residents; you will be asked to specify on the next page. Please note that researchers and trainees must be DSI members to be eligible for DSI funding.
5. Are you currently (a) enrolled at the University of Toronto or (b) employed by the University of Toronto or one of the DSI's partner institutions? *This question is required.
For example, if you are cross-appointed between two divisions or units at the University of Toronto, of if you have one faculty appointment at the University of Toronto and a scientist appointment at a research institute, input "2." If you have a cross-appointment within the University of Toronto and a position at a partner institute, select "3." Otherwise, please select "1." You will be asked to provide details on up to three roles. This question requires a valid number format.
