Patient Experience Survey - Emergency Department

Purpose of the Survey
At Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) - Central Zone, we are committed to providing quality care to patients and their families. NL Health Services is a People Centred Care organization, which means working together with patients, families, health care providers, staff and volunteers to provide respectful, compassionate, quality and safe care. This survey asks about your recent experience in the Emergency Department. Some questions include the term Virtual Emergency Room. A Virtual Emergency Room is where patients are assessed and treated by staff on site along with a doctor or nurse practitioner using a safe and secure video connection.

A few things to consider:

Taking part in this survey is voluntary
The survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete
Your responses are anonymous and will only be reported in overall results, not individually
Your responses will be kept confidential
If you are not comfortable answering any of the questions, you may SKIP and leave them blank
You may exit the survey at any time. If you exit the survey before finishing, information will be kept for questions you have already answered

Privacy and Confidentiality
NL Health Services prioritizes privacy and confidentiality for all participants, clients and partners involved in our program and service evaluations. The survey is designed to be anonymous. Responses, including open-text comments, will be available to the Evaluation Division and leadership in the Emergency Department. Combined results may be shared with health care providers, evaluation partners, and leadership within NL Health Services. All information collected is stored in a secure office and/or on a secure network belonging to NL Health Services.
