The First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) and First Nations Schools Association (FNSA) are pleased to announce a 12-session Network for educators in First Nation schools, by Natascha Lawrence.
This network opportunity is designed for all educators (Classroom Teachers, Language Teachers, Education Assistants, and Learning Assistance Teachers (LATs) working in First Nation schools. Network sessions will take place approximately every 2 weeks; a guest speaker workshop followed by a discussion and debrief session. These sessions will focus on the discussion questions provided by Natascha. Discussion groups will be specific to the roles educators have in their schools. The Network will allow interested participants an opportunity to obtain relevant professional development, reflect on their experience and practice, as well as develop connections with other educators working in First Nation schools.
Each speaker session will cover a different topic that specifically relates to supporting all learners in student centered classrooms.
