BCFSA's Consultation on a Proposed Consumer Disclosure Form for Pre-sales

BCFSA is requesting feedback from the real estate development community, industry stakeholders, licensees, and the public on its newly proposed requirement under the Real Estate Development Marketing Act (“REDMA”), for real estate developers to include a Summary of Pre-sale Risks and Buyer Rights form at the front of their initial disclosure statement filing for pre-sale developments. The summary form is intended to provide consumers with information respecting key risks and contractual rights that they should consider prior to signing a pre-sale contract. The materials can be found on the BCFSA website.

This consultation will close on May 17, 2024.

These survey questions will take approximately 10 minutes or less to complete.

Your responses to the survey questions will remain confidential. BCFSA is not requesting any private, personal, or identifiable information in this survey. Results will be reported on in aggregate only. For any open-text questions, please do not make comments that could identify you or anyone else.
