The First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) and the First Nations Schools Association (FNSA) is hosting a series of information workshops designed specifically to support for First Nation schools that will be hosted in May and June 2024. Workshop: Overview of the Handbook for First Nation School Governing Authorities

This workshop will review the FNESC and FNSA Handbook for First Nation Governing Authorities. The handbook reviews information related to the importance of school governance, as well as the role of School Governing Authorities in setting the school's mission and vision, and in budgeting, program planning, and policy development.
Please note, this workshop was offered several times in the past in 2022 and 2023. It is being presented again for people who were unable to attend previously. People who attended this workshop before are welcome to join, understanding the information included is largely unchanged.
