ONLY ONE PARTNER NEEDS TO FILL OUT THE FORM FOR YOUR GROUP/PARTNERSHIP
As teachers reflect on the beginning of their teaching careers, they often think of one colleague who helped them with planning, assessment, shared their resources or coached them. To help support and formalize these relationships, your ATA Local, in collaboration with the provincial ATA and the CBE, sponsors the Teacher Mentorship Program for beginning teachers and seasoned teachers to collaborate, further each other’s learning, and foster career-long professional relationships.
For each pair in the program, we offer a total of three sub days, two coffee cards, and three in-person PD sessions.
There will be three after school sessions included for both mentors and mentees.

Mentors are current classroom teachers with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
Protégés are teachers who are preferably entering their first, second, or third year of teaching in the classroom and wish to be included in the Mentorship Program.
We encourage teachers pair up with their partner of choice. If you need assistance to find a partner, either mentors or proteges, please make a note when signing up and the PD Committee would help match you up with a suitable partner.
To make it equitable, we urge the protégé applicants only apply for this program ONCE.
Registration is limited to 70 pairs. Should this program be oversubscribed, final registration will be determined by a random draw.
Registration closes
Thursday November 19 at noon. Successful participants will be notified after registration closes.
