National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (second edition Z1003:26)

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (the Commission) leads the development and dissemination of innovative programs and tools to support the mental health and wellness of Canadians.

Championed by the Commission, CSA Group facilitated the development of the second edition of the Workplace Standard, CSA/ASC Z1003:26, Psychological health and safety in the workplace — Prevention, promotion, and guidance. More than a decade of implementation experience, practical application, research, and feedback from organizations and workers has highlighted both the value of the Standard and opportunities to strengthen it.

The second edition builds on the evidence that informed the first edition and reflects advances in research, in workplace practices, and in psychological health and safety.

The Standard is informed by evidence and, reflects lessons learned through implementation, while providing clearer guidance, and addressing new and evolving workplace needs for organizations aiming to create psychologically healthy and safe workplaces.
